What is SIM Protect?

SIM Protect is a new security tool that allows you to lock some features of your account to prevent any unauthorized changes. While SIM Protect is on, it will prevent any attempts to replace your SIM card or transfer your phone number.

How to turn SIM Protect on: To turn on SIM Protect, go to the ‘Password & Security’ tab in your account online or in the Ultra Mobile App, and you’ll see a button to flip it on. Once SIM Protect is on, it will stay on indefinitely, it’s entirely up to you if you’d like to leave it on or turn it off.

How to turn SIM Protect off: Only you, the Customer, can turn SIM Protect off. For added security, if you attempt to turn it off, we will require you to validate that you are the account owner with a One-Time Passcode (OTP) sent to you. It will be your choice whether you want the OTP sent to you via SMS or Email*. Once you receive the OTP, you are required to enter that code onto the corresponding screen, and if the code is inputted correctly, SIM Protect will turn off.
