How do you buy a Pass and when can you purchase it?

You can purchase a Go Roam World Pass via the Ultra Mobile App, in your account, or at an Ultra Retailer. You can also purchase one by texting “GOROAM” to 6700. Passes are valid for 360 days and can be purchased before your trip or once you arrive. You can have up to three passes stored.

How do you activate a Pass?

Before you can use your Go Roam World Pass, you need to activate it. You can activate via the Ultra Mobile App, in your account, or at an Ultra Retailer. You can also text “ACTIVATE” to 6700. 

Once you activate your pass, the duration of your pass will begin, and passes expire to the minute. When activating by texting 6700, your passes will activate in the order they were purchased. You can only have one active pass at a time, so activating a new pass will deactivate any balances in an existing pass that is still active. Any unused balances at the end of your pass duration will also be forfeited.

How do calls work with a Pass?

Depending on which pass you buy, the 5-day pass has 100 minutes of calling and the 15-day pass has 300 minutes. If a call goes over your set minutes, they’ll use your International Roaming Credits. Learn how to dial international phone numbers via our guide to international calling codes.

How do text messages work with a Pass?

With a Go Roam World Pass, receiving an SMS message is free, while sending an SMS requires an active Go Roam Pass or International Roaming Credits. The 5-day pass comes with 100 SMS and the 15-day pass with 300 SMS. You’ll receive a message when your balance reaches 20% and another when you have 0% remaining. Any extra texts will use your International Roaming Credits to send. 

How does data work with a Pass?

Depending on which plan you purchase, you’ll either receive 1GB or 5GB of high-speed data. When you have 20% remaining or less, you’ll receive an SMS alert so you can use your data worry-free. After you’ve used all of your data, we’ll send you a message and your speeds will be reduced. You can easily activate another Go Roam World Pass or use your International Roaming Credit to make sure you have data.

You can check your active pass status by texting “WORLDBAL” to 6700, or you’ll receive that data when your expiration alert is sent. You can also check your pass status and remaining balances in the Ultra Mobile App and in your account online.

Your pass status will include:

  • Your remaining balance
  • Time it expires 
  • Allows you to purchase or activate another pass if needed.
