How do I switch from Cricket Wireless to Ultra Mobile?

Officially making the switch can be done in just a few minutes with a few easy steps. We’ll start with what you need to do ahead of time to make the activation as smooth as possible. 

1. Prepare for the Switch

First, check that your phone is compatible with Ultra Mobile and that we have coverage where you live, work and play.  

2. Bring Your Own Phone 

If you see that your phone is compatible and want to bring your own phone with you to Ultra, just make sure it’s unlocked. 

3. BYON or Getting a New One

If you want to bring your own number over to Ultra, make sure you have active service with Cricket Wireless until your Ultra activation is complete. Then, gather these essential details:

  • Account Number: You can find this on your online account portal on your profile or settings page, or via the myCricket App under Account Settings. Call Cricket customer support at 1-800-274-2538 if you’re having trouble finding it.
  • Account PIN or Number Transfer PIN: From your Cricket device, dial *PORT (or *PORTAR in Spanish). Follow the prompts to receive your PIN. You can also find it in the myCricket app under Account Settings by tapping “Get my Number Transfer PIN” or by calling Cricket customer support at 1-800-274-2538. Note: If you call, you will have to confirm your identity. 
  • Billing ZIP Code: To get a new number, you’ll have to provide us with a billing ZIP code so we can generate one for you based on your location.

4. Choose the best plan for you
