How do I switch from Red Pocket to Ultra Mobile?
Making the switch to Ultra Mobile from Red Pocket can take just a few minutes with these easy steps.
1. Prepare for the Switch

2. Bring Your Own Phone
If you see that your phone is compatible and want to bring your own phone with you to Ultra, make sure it’s unlocked.
3. Bring Your Own Number or Get a New One
If you want to bring your own number over to Ultra, make sure you have active service with Red Pocket until your Ultra activation is complete. Then, complete these essential steps:
- Gather Your Account Number and PIN:
- Log in to your Red Pocket account and go to Port Management/Transfer Number. Select “To another wireless carrier” and it will show your account number and transfer PIN.
- If you can’t find the account number or PIN in the portal, submit a Red Pocket support ticket or contact their support (1-888-993-3888) and request the number transfer/account details. Make sure to keep screenshots or confirmation texts.
- Turn Off the Red Pocket “Port Blocker”
- Red Pocket sometimes uses a port blocker to protect accounts, so you must disable it before initiating a transfer. You can turn it off in the same Port Management area or request support to disable it.

Some users report the transfer PIN format can vary (sometimes last 4 of ICCID or a generated PIN). Always use the PIN shown/provided by Red Pocket’s port workflow or support.
If you want a new phone number, then all you need to do is provide us with your home ZIP code at activation so we can generate one for you based on your location.

Make sure you don’t cancel your Red Pocket service before the port completes, because doing so may cause you to lose your number. Also double-check that the account holder name and billing ZIP code match exactly when entering your port details with Ultra Mobile.
